  in regard to a recent watchtower article on shunning 'apostates', i wonder if we could create an estimate of our collective influence.

  how many active witnesses secretly go to this site or others?.

  more importantly, how many witnesses pass along information that was revealed here?.

  Watchtower in the News?

  why is there no follow up on the news in regards to cases that are being investigated.

  i am constantly informed in the media about the progress of investigations involving the catholic religion, but news about investigations involving the wt society just seems to fade away.

  a while back there was a lot of talk regarding pedophiles in the congregations, and then nothing.

  mr. hughes is suing the watchtower organization for the wrongful death of his daughter bethany.

  Change in Regular Pioneer application process

  this week a letter is being read that changes the process for the approval of regular pioneers.

  in times past you had to fill out an application, submit it to the elder body (who would then add their comments), and it would be forwarded to "the branch" for approval.. this is being changed so that the elder body grants the approval instead of brooklyn or the local branch.

  it looks like the lawyers are removing any and all direct contact between the rank-and-file and the gb.

  our 5th annual demonstration will be held in front of the kingdom hall on bridge lane in wilmington mass.

  u.s.a.on thursday april 9,2009. demonstrations on memorial night are very effective in reaching people who may be considering becoming a jehovah's witness.

  Aid book spotted at local store

  yesterday, my wife and i were at a local thrift store.

  we wound up in the used book section, and i happened to spot a pale blue thick book on one of the lower shelves.. i thought to myself... 'hmmm... i seem to remember a book like this one...', and picked it up.

  sure enough, it was an 'aid' book.. i opened it up and flipped to a section - then chuckled to myself.. i handed the book to my wife and said... "here was my favorite picture in the whole book.".

  the watchtower organization states in their book "pay attention to daniel's prophecy"!

  on page 274 par.8 "yet others who seemed to accept the good news were really spies for the authorities".

  a report from one land reads : "some of these unscrupulous characters were avowed communists who had crept into the lord's organization, made a great display of zeal, and had even been appointed to high positions of service.

  i have come to this forum on the recommendation of an ex jehovah's witness who has been very helpful.

  although he has given me some useful information, he suggested i post my question on here too to see what others have to say.
